It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the year already. I hope everyone out there has made some great memories so far.
It’s been an eventful few months in music and there seems to be a running theme that has followed us on our travels. Whether it be townships in South Africa lending a hand to their local schools, fans of the arts in Italy coming out in droves to support a concert or even just friendly neighbors here at home keeping an eye out for the residences around them, the spirit of community is definitely alive and well in pockets of this big ol’ world of ours and I’ve been pretty inspired by that. It’s wonderful to see people embracing how much we need each other in this life. Well, that’s been my reality anyway. I’m truly living the dreams of my youth and I could spend all day crediting those who have made that possible. Some say that it’s a dog eat dog world…though I always thought dogs traveled in packs…
An exciting time lies ahead for us as “Days To Recall” will be the first album we’ve released in the US thanks to our new friends at Decca. We also had a lot of fun taping our PBS special and getting the chance to share the stage with some of Canada’s greatest artists was beyond an honor. Thanks so so much to Sierra Noble, Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy, The Canadian Tenors and one of my musical heroes, Ron Sexsmith for lending their gifts to the stage that night. Look for the show to air on PBS sometime this fall. Speaking of Ron however, I’m on my way to a show at Massey Hall as part of a group of artists who will be paying tribute to his incredible collection of songs…living dreams indeed.

well once again i am having a hard time getting into my grandson justin Hines page i am a senior and need to be more efficent with computers but my wanting to hear all about him i will push on and try harder to solve this problem i am also a great fan of Justins great singing and songwriting and want the world to hear this great young man who deserves the best for everything he is and so humbly does not want the fan fare just wants to people to be blessed and enjoy his music and songs that he writes so enjoy

I am also a senior and I understand what you mean about the computer. I can hear in your very words the love you have for your grandson. I wanted to tell you what your grandson`s music and soulful voice has done for me. In the past 14 months I have buried my father and two nephews who were like my own and in April my son. He had a fall and died instantly. Two weeks before that we had an arguement for the first time in his 50 years. Two days before he died he called me to tell me how important it was that I understood how much he loved me and in two days he was gone. Margaret, I thought my heart would break with the pain. I had always felt soothed listening to Justin, so to get some well needed sleep I went to the bedroom to be by myself and put Justin`s music on and he was singing SAY WHAT YOU WILL. I was able to hear his words and hear his music in a whole different way. Your grandson and his music soothes my very soul. I believe your grandson was chosen by God to minister to those of us in need in a special way. I will be sitting at a concert in a beautiful church in St Marys and am so looking forward to the experience. We are blessed by Justin`s music Margaret. Thank you for this opportunity to share.
